Ajax DoorProtect Plus Jeweller is a wireless opening detector that notices an intrusion before the door or window is opened. A reed switch senses opening while an accelerometer senses shock and tilt — so the detector alarms when glass is smashed, a door is prised or a window is tilted into the vent position.

Shock sensitivity has three levels and single shocks can be ignored if wanted, so a chance knock does not raise a false alarm. The tilt threshold can be set between 5 and 25 degrees, which suits ordinary windows as well as garage doors.

A wired detector with an NC contact can be connected to the terminals. Tamper protection reports opening or removal of the enclosure, device authentication protects against spoofing, and the Jeweller radio link is encrypted and frequency-hopping. The pre-installed CR123A battery lasts for years.
