Ajax DoorProtect Jeweller is a wireless opening detector that guards doors, windows and skylights. It senses opening with a reed switch rated for more than two million openings and reports alarms to the hub over Jeweller radio at a range of up to 1,200 m.

Two magnets of different sizes are included: the small one works at a distance of up to 1 cm and the large one up to 2 cm from the detector, which allows mounting even on a narrow window or door frame. Protection against contact chatter ignores vibrations lasting up to 0.15 s, so wind or a passing lorry does not cause a false alarm.

A wired detector with a normally closed (NC) contact — an existing magnetic contact or a glass break detector, for example — can be connected to the terminals. The chime function sounds a signal when a door is opened while the system is disarmed. The pre-installed CR123A battery lasts up to 7 years.
