Ajax EN54 FireProtect (Heat/Sounder) Jeweller combines a heat detector with a sounder. It responds to a rise in temperature and sounds the alarm itself, so the warning is heard exactly in the room where the fire started.

A heat detector suits places where a smoke detector would cause false alarms: kitchens, boiler rooms, car parks, workshops and dusty production areas. The device belongs to the EN 54 compliant Ajax Fire range controlled by the EN54 Fire Hub, and the sound of all devices connected to the same control and indicating equipment is synchronised automatically.

A three-colour LED shows the state of the detector — alarm, test or fault. The SmartBracket mounting panel with a lock holds it on the ceiling and the tamper button reports removal. The pre-installed CR123A batteries last for years, replacement needs no tools, and reverse polarity protection prevents damage.
