Ajax FireProtect 2 RB (Heat/Smoke) is a wireless fire detector that watches smoke and temperature at once. The dual-spectrum optical sensor judges the size of air particles and does not react to water vapour, so no false alarms occur near a bathroom or a kitchen.

The patented smoke chamber protects the sensor from dust, dirt and insects, keeping the detector reliable years later. The temperature sensor raises an alarm when the room exceeds 64 °C or when the temperature rises by more than 10 °C in a minute — which also catches an open-flame fire that produces almost no smoke.

The built-in 85 dB sounder signals the alarm immediately, and interconnected detectors pass it to other rooms. The detector can be tested with the front panel button, an LED shows power and state, and the tamper reports removal. The replaceable batteries last up to 7 years and the detector's service life is 10 years.
