Ajax MotionCam (PhOD) Jeweller is a wireless motion detector with a built-in camera. When the detector is armed and senses movement, the camera takes a series of photos and sends them to the app and to the monitoring station. It is immediately clear whether this is an intrusion or a pet left indoors, which avoids needless call-outs.

A PIR sensor detects movement at up to 12 m within an 88.5° horizontal field of view, with three sensitivity levels. The SmartDetect algorithm prevents false alarms, pet immunity allows animals of up to 20 kg indoors, and temperature compensation keeps detection accurate.

Photo resolution is selectable (up to 640 × 480 px) and the camera uses infrared illumination in the dark. Photos travel over the separate Wings protocol and alarms over Jeweller — all communication is encrypted. The SmartBracket mounting panel makes installation tool-free and the tamper reports removal.

PhOD stands for Photo on Demand: a user or a monitoring operator can request a photo even without an alarm — to check that an office is empty, for example. A photo can also be tied to an automation scenario, so the picture is taken on a given event or at a given time.
