Alarmtech MC 240 is a universal magnetic contact with a normally closed (NC) reed switch for intruder alarm and access control systems. It monitors doors and windows against unauthorised opening and meets EN 50131-2-6 Grade 2.

Both the contact and the magnet are threaded aluminium-alloy screws that are simply screwed into a 9–10 mm hole in wood or plastic. The contact part is sealed with epoxy, which makes it water resistant (IP67). With Alarmtech's flanges and adapters the contact can also be fitted to steel doors, hatches and garage doors.
