The Conlan CM3003 is a Danish-made open-protocol reader combining a PIN keypad and a Mifare card reader in one housing. It communicates with the controller over an RS-485 bus using the Modbus protocol (19200 baud) – suits automation systems and PLCs; all settings are managed from the controller. The reader has 2 inputs (0 V active) for door status and 2 outputs (500 mA) that the controller can switch with RS-485 commands, e.g. for the door and the alarm. It works with ISO 14443A cards and tags (Mifare Ultralight, Plus, Classic, DESFire). From the Modbus registers the controller reads the card UID, the last PIN code (up to 8 digits, ended with #), key presses and the input states. The Mykey design housing measures 75 × 50 × 8 mm and is rated IP67, so the reader suits indoor and outdoor use; the front label can be replaced and ordered customised. Supply 9–24 V DC (installation guide; catalogue: 9–27 V DC), approx. 45 mA, connection with a 2.5 m 8-core cable. Colour black.
