The DOD-220 is a Detnov 200 series conventional optical smoke detector. Its dark chamber guides smoke to the optical sensor and avoids unwanted air flows; detection is based on the Tyndall effect – light scattered by smoke particles triggers the alarm. The chamber is protected against dirt and insects and drift compensation reduces false alarms and extends maintenance intervals. The detector is wired with two wires without polarity to a Z-200 (or Z-200-H) base; the Z-200 locking option prevents tampering. Remote indicator (PAD-10) output. Compatible with Detnov CCD-100 and ECO panels and other conventional fire panels. Certified to EN 54-7 (0370-CPR-0880).
