The DOD-220A-I is a Detnov 200A series addressable optical smoke detector for Detnov CAD-150 and CAD-250 series addressable control panels. The optical dark chamber guides smoke to the sensor and avoids unwanted air flows; detection is based on the Tyndall effect – light scattered by smoke particles triggers the alarm. The chamber is protected against dirt and insects, and drift compensation reduces false alarms and extends maintenance intervals. An alarm verification algorithm reduces false alarms. The detector takes one loop address from 1 to 250; the address is set with the PGD-300 programmer or by the panel's auto-addressing. The built-in short-circuit isolator separates a shorted loop section; observe polarity when wiring. It is mounted on a Z-200 (or Z-200-H) base; the Z-200 locking option prevents unauthorised removal. LED status indicator and output for a PAD-10 remote indicator or a BUD-200 buzzer. White; certified to EN 54-7 / EN 54-17 (0370-CPR-1859).
