Elematic Colsteel is an all-stainless-steel (AISI 316 / A4) cable tie that is strong, fire and corrosion resistant – for fixing cables and pipes in offshore and petrochemical plants, shipbuilding, for flame-retardant fixings in electrical and fire-fighting systems and where exposed to sun and weather, such as photovoltaic systems. The ball locking mechanism and smooth surface give low insertion effort and smooth tightening along the whole length; the smooth edges do not damage cable insulation. The tie is tightened by hand or with the dedicated tool (Elematic 5407). It is 4.6 mm wide and 201 mm long, fits bundles of 12.7–51 mm in diameter, tensile strength 445 N. The steel is halogen free and non-flammable, with outstanding resistance to acids, oils, greases, chemicals and solvents, high resistance to seawater and corrosive atmospheres, and UV resistant.
