The Esser FAAST LT-200 EB is an active early warning aspirating smoke detector with a built-in, pre-configured esserbus transponder – it connects directly to the Esser esserbus / esserbus-PLus loop and is programmed with tools8000. It suits Class C applications where maintenance is difficult or ordinary detectors fail because of harsh environments or aesthetics, as well as smaller mission-critical areas needing Class A or B very early warning. Inside are an IR LED detection chamber and ultrasonic flow sensing; sensitivity can be set in 9 steps from 0.07 to 0.66% obs/m and the fan has 10 speeds. Pipe design and configuration use the included PipeIQ software; the LED display with an airflow pendulum graph shows that the pipe network works, the event log stores 2,240 events, and Acclimate mode adapts to the environment to reduce nuisance alarms. Filter and sensor are easy to reach. The 801722.10 is the version with two independent channels: each has its own detection chamber, adjustable fan, filter, sensor and separate exhaust, and takes up to two pipes; a two-detector dependency alarm is possible.
