The FSL100-IR3 detects fast-developing flaming fires. Three-channel infrared analysis gives high resistance to disturbance variables; the detector is particularly suited to liquid hydrocarbon and dirty, smoky fires and is less affected by window contamination. It suits most light industrial applications, storage areas and machinery. The cone of vision is 90°, the range 35 m (0.1 m² n-heptane fire within 10 seconds). The IP65 housing of glass-reinforced polyester is UV resistant and self-extinguishing; a pressure compensation element prevents moisture build-up. The detector has automatic and manually initiated self-test, relay and 4–20 mA outputs.
