The FSL100-UV detects fast-developing flaming fires by their ultraviolet radiation. It is designed for applications such as cold storage, fume hoods, heating rooms for chemicals, laboratories and hydrogen storage, and suits materials burning at low temperatures (e.g. sulphur). The cone of vision is 90°, the range 25 m (0.1 m² n-heptane fire within 10 seconds). The IP65 housing of glass-reinforced polyester is UV resistant and self-extinguishing; a pressure compensation element prevents moisture build-up. The detector has automatic and manually initiated self-test, relay and 4–20 mA outputs.
