Honeywell Home R200S-1 is an optical stand-alone smoke alarm for domestic premises, including holiday homes and caravans. It contains a permanently sealed, non-replaceable 3 V battery with a 10-year life; the replacement date is printed on the label. The alarm is twisted onto its mounting bracket on the ceiling or wall, and the bracket can be locked if required. On alarm the sounder gives at least 85 dB at 3 m; the alarm can be silenced for 10 minutes and the low-battery warning for 10 hours. For kitchens with steam or fumes the maker recommends the heat alarm R200H. Certified to EN 14604.
