The INIM SmartLine020-4 is a conventional fire alarm control panel for small and medium-sized sites. It has 4 zones, expandable to 20 with 2 SmartLine/8Z expansion boards (8 zones per board); each zone accepts up to 30 devices (detectors and call points) and the panel can tell detector and call point alarms apart. The extra terminal of each zone can be set as an open-collector output, a supervised input or a 4–20 mA gas detector interface. Outputs include a supervised alarm output (NAC) for sounders, a dialer output, dry-contact alarm and fault relays, and a permanent and an interruptible auxiliary power output. The RS485 bus takes up to 4 SmartLetUSee/LCD-Lite repeater panels and SmartLevel power supply stations; with the SmartLAN/485 board the panel joins an Ethernet network for remote programming and monitoring. With the SmartLetLoose/ONE board the panel controls gas extinguishing to EN 12094-1. Programming is done from the front panel or from a PC with SmartLeague software (RS232); 8 timers and 8 logic equations are available. The front panel has a backlit graphic display, LEDs, fast keys (silence, reset, evacuate, investigate) and an access level 2 keyswitch. The metal enclosure houses 2 × 12 V 7 Ah batteries; charging is optimised by the ProbeTH thermal probe (accessory), and the panel tests the batteries and disconnects them against deep discharge.
