Optex HX-40 is an outdoor PIR motion detector mounted at 2.5–3 m that provides volumetric detection up to 12 m (85°, 94 zones). It is made to protect the approach to a building and to tell people from small to medium-sized animals, reducing the risk of false alarms. The detection range is adjustable and advanced temperature compensation keeps detection stable. HX-40 is the standard hardwired model; bracket, hood and area masking seals are included.
