Pulsar AWZG2 is a microprocessor-controlled buffer power supply for intruder alarm and access control systems, compliant with EN 50131-6 (Grade 1 and 2) and EN 60839-11-2. The metal enclosure holds a battery that the unit charges and maintains.

The unit tests the battery dynamically, monitors battery circuit continuity, voltage and fuse status and protects the battery against deep discharge. The EPS and APS OC technical outputs report faults to the panel (the AWZ639 module turns them into relay outputs). A tamper switch monitors opening of the enclosure.
