XD-2 is a wired multipurpose detector that works with any alarm control panel. DIP switches select whether it works as a magnetic contact (opening of a door or window), a shock detector (shocks and vibration from attempts to force a door or window), a shock detector and magnetic contact together, or a flood detector (flooding in rooms with plumbing). As a flood detector the XD-2 needs the FPX-1 probe, sold separately. In magnetic contact and shock detector modes there is an input for another NC type wired detector (e.g. another magnetic contact); in the combined mode one or two alarm outputs can be used. Shock detection range is up to 3 m (depending on the surface). The LED indicator can be enabled/disabled remotely, the supply voltage is supervised, and tamper protection reports both opening of the enclosure and removal from the mounting surface. Two magnets are included – for surface and flush mounting. Outdoors the XD-2 can be used in the OPX-1 enclosure (with the hermetic OPXM-1 magnet in modes that use a magnet). The detector meets the EN 50131-2-6 Grade 2 requirements.
