Semoflex is the German cable maker Baude's brand of spiral cables for high mechanical stress. The unshielded Semoflex Elektronik spiral cable is used, for example, in medical electronics, machinery controls, the automotive field, measuring tools and position switch connections – in security systems it suits connecting door magnets, card readers and sensors on moving doors and gates. The polyurethane (PUR) outer sheath and Semocore core insulation give the coil a high reset force and a long service life. The cable has 10 stranded plain copper cores of 0.25 mm² (14 × 0.15 mm), colour-coded to DIN 47100; the sheath is black and glossy. The spiral is 1.2 m long and extends up to four times its length (approx. 5 m); both ends have 200 mm of straight cable. The cable is halogen- and silicone-free, resistant to oils and acids, largely UV resistant and stays flexible in the cold; temperature range -30 … +80 °C.
