Southwest Microwave INTREPID MicroPoint II link unit | between processors, 2 cable inputs | IP66

The Link Unit II (LU II) is installed at the ends of the INTREPID MicroPoint II sensor cables between two Processor Modules (PM II). This passive unit terminates the detection process at the cable end and passes DC power, FSK communication and IPP II data on to the next processor, so a long perimeter works as one system without extra wiring. The LU II uses the same IP66 enclosure as the PM II and mounts on the fence fabric with J-bolts; the cables enter from the bottom and the unit has a terminal for the cover tamper switch. In systems with five or more processors ground loops are possible – the maker then recommends removing fuses F1 and F2 of an LU II in the middle, which turns it into an isolating link unit.
