The MX-12FAM is a dual-zone passive infrared outdoor detector from the Takex MX-12 series. It alarms only when the horizontal and the downward zone detect movement at the same time, which prevents nuisance alarms from small animals and passing vehicles. Coverage is up to 180° and 12 m; the left and right sides can be set separately from 2 to 12 m. Infrared anti-masking with near-lens awareness raises an alarm if the detector is covered. Outputs: separate alarms for the left and right 90° sides, or a combined 180° alarm plus an external output (e.g. to trigger CCTV). Pulse count 1 or 3 and sensitivity 60–120 %. Area masks stored in the cover customise the coverage. Front and back tamper, IP55 when wall mounted; BP-32 pole attachment as an option.
