The Xtralis VESDA VLF-250 is a very early warning aspirating smoke detector for small, business-critical areas under 250 m² – server rooms, telecom exchanges, control and switch rooms, cabinets and air handling units. The detector continuously draws air through the sampling holes of a pipe network, filters it and passes it into a laser detection chamber where light scattering reveals even very small amounts of smoke. Patented ultrasonic flow sensing gives a direct reading of the pipe flow and is unaffected by air temperature, pressure or contamination. The VLF can be installed and commissioned out of the box without special software; the Smoke Dial display shows the smoke level even from a distance, and the Instant Fault Finder behind the service door identifies the fault. AutoLearn sets the smoke and flow thresholds itself, the event log holds up to 18,000 events, and three relays (Fire 1, Action, Fault) connect to the fire alarm panel. The VLF-250-05 is the version with Eastern European languages and international display labels.
